Why Mumbai’s first salon run by transgender people is unique

This is Mumbai’s first salon run by transgender people. Located in an upscale locality in Prabhadevi, the salon is being run by Pride Business Network Foundation with initial support from Deutsche Bank and Rotary Club of Bombay.

Atleast 6 members of the LGBTQIA+ community are employed at the salon. The idea is to impart skills and knowledge to LGBTQ community members. This will enable them to find jobs as beauticians in the mainstream market.
