What kind of recovery is this from the finance company, a 100 year old man was taken out of the house along with his bed.
Mandsaur. To recover its loan, the private finance company attached the house of a priest in village Bhilya Khedi of Nahargarh police station. But the way the attachment process was carried out, the policemen of Nahargarh police station who accompanied the employees of the finance company put humanity to shame. In 2015, a loan of Rs 3 lakh was taken from Mentor Finance Company Jaipur to build a house. The company had deducted Rs 20 thousand in the name of insurance and Rs 50 thousand in the name of other expenses.
In the presence of the police, the employees took out the household items one by one and kept them on the road. The priest’s 100-year-old elderly father was kept outside on the road along with his cot and other belongings. The priest had taken a loan of Rs 3 lakh, it is being told that now it has become Rs 12 lakh including interest. Whereas the priest is also claiming to have paid some of these installments. Presently the priest is living on his brother’s farm.
In Mandsaur district, the priest was thrown out of his house along with his family for not paying the loan installment. Policemen from Nahargarh police station also arrived along with the employees of the finance company. Policemen have also misbehaved with the priest and the women of his family. Saturday’s incident is being reported in Bhilyakhedi village of Nahargarh police station area. Its video surfaced on Sunday.
Govind Das Bairagi, the priest of Shri Ram Temple in the village, had taken a loan of Rs 3 lakh from Mentor Finance Company Jaipur in 2015 to build a house. Priest Govind Das Bairagi told that while giving the loan, the company had deducted Rs 20 thousand in the name of insurance and Rs 50 thousand in the name of other expenses.
In the joy of getting the loan, I donated Rs 10,000 to Sanvliyaji temple. After this, installments of Rs 70 thousand were also deposited. After this there was a lock down due to Corona. Then my father’s health deteriorated. Since then he has been on the cot. Got the operation done when wife’s health deteriorated. Married three daughters. I have a daughter who is blind. Could not pay the installments due to poor financial condition.
The priest told that I and my wife told the employees of the finance company who came with the police that we would deposit the installments soon. But our request was not even heard. Even my 100 year old father was taken out along with his bed and thrown in the street. All the stuff was taken out and kept on the road. Now I am forced to live with my elder brother on a farm. I have been insulted by taking such action, action should be taken against the culprits.
Action taken on court orders
Deepak Singh Rajawat, collection manager of the finance company, said that notices have been given to priest Govind Das several times but the installments were not deposited. He still has 50 installments left. The company had filed a case in the court of Mandsaur. The priest was not present there also. This action has been taken after the court order.
Loan taken for Rs 3 lakh became Rs 12 lakh including interest.
Meanwhile, farmer leader Shyamlal Jokchand, who had recently contested the Malhargarh assembly elections, also alleged that private finance companies have spread like mushrooms in Mandsaur Neemuch district. Their agents trick innocent people and give them small loans and keep half of it in the name of file charges and other charges. Then after paying the installment they harass you. The victim priest had also taken a loan of Rs 3 lakh. In this, 70 thousand rupees were already given, 70 thousand rupees were paid. Still the company is demanding Rs 12 lakh more along with interest.
