UP HORROR! 13-Yr-Old Dalit Girl Burned To Death While Out To Defecate In Balrampur Village

A 13-year-old Dalit girl was burned to death in a village of Balrampur district in Uttar Pradesh when she was out to defecate in a field on Friday evening.

Uttar Pradesh Crime: In a horrifying incident, a 13-year-old Dalit girl was set on fire while she was out to defecate in a field in a village of Balrampur village of Uttar Pradesh. As per the police, the shocking incident took place on Friday evening in a village under Haraiya Police Station jurisdiction when the minor went out of her house to defecate in a nearby field.

“On Friday evening, the girl had gone to a field near her village to defecate, where she was burned to death by unidentified culprits,” said Additional Superintendent of Police Yogesh Kumar.

Providing details, the officer said the girl’s family launched a search to look for her after she did return home for over an hour.

Meanwhile, some villagers told them that a nearby field had caught fire. When they reached the field they found the girl there, dead, the ASP said.

The body of the 13-year-old victim was sent for post-mortem and police have registered against unidentified persons under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the SC/ST Act, the officer said.

Police said its being ascertained how and why the minor was set on fire and motive behind her murder is being determined.

Further investigation in the case is underway.
