Transgender’s body found floating in well
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A transgender’s body, with throat slit, was found in a well at Shirsa Mandap village in Bhokardan tehsil, Jalna district on Thursday evening.
The body was first spotted by a farmer who went to fetch water from the well on a farm late on Thursday.
He noticed a body floating in the water and initially assumed it to be that of a woman, aged between 35 to 40. He immediately informed the village’s police patil, who then alerted the authorities.
As news spread, a large number of villagers gathered near the well. inspector Kiran Bidve of the Bhokardan police, accompanied by sub-inspector Pawan Rajput and a team of officers, retrieved the body with the help of the villagers.
Inspector Bidve said that the victim might have been murdered elsewhere and the killer/s must have dumped the body of the transgender into the well to conceal the crime.
