Police stated that Shashank, a transgender individual from the village, was killed on the spot after being attacked with a blunt object by another transgender person from the same village. The involvement of other transgender individuals is also under suspicion.
Nimal: A fourteen-year-old transgender person was murdered by some unknown persons on the outskirts of Chityala village in Nirmal mandal late on Friday night. The incident came to light on Saturday.
Police said that Shashank, a transgender from the village died on the spot after being bludgeoned by another transgender of the same village. The role of other transgenders was also suspected.
Nirmal Superintendent of Police Dr Janaki Sharmila and ASP Rajesh Meena inspected the scene of the offence upon receiving information. They made inquiries into the incident. Sharmila said that special teams were formed to nab the accused persons.
A case was registered. Investigations were taken up.
