Transgender couple found hanging at home in Telangana

HYDERABAD: A transgender couple died by suicide at their residence in Jagathgirigutta on Monday.

Jagathgirigutta police said that the two – aged 24 and 25 – hanged themselves to the ceiling using a rope. They did not leave a suicide note. Neighbours and family members were clueless about the couple’s decision.

On Sunday night, the couple – who got married two months ago – had allegedly quarrelled. On Monday, they were found hanged. One hailed from Mahabubnagar district and the other from Vikarabad.

Both their phones were found in damaged condition.

Police registered a case under section 174 (suspicious death) of Cr.Pc. One of them was an autorickshaw driver. tnn
