Trichy: The Congress will organize a conference to resist ‘fascist forces’ for assailing party leader Rahul Gandhi over his remarks on Sikhs, OBCs, SCs and STs during his recent US visit, TNCC president K Selvaperunthagai said in Trichy on Tuesday.
“Fascist forces are distorting what Rahul Gandhi articulated. The conference is intended to denounce BJP for their onslaught on Rahul Gandhi, and RSS for their machinations,” he told reporters in Trichy. Being a principal ally of the INDIA bloc, TNCC will invite chief minister M K Stalin to the conference, besides allies VCK, CPM, CPI, IUML, MMK and others, he said.
The TNCC president maintained that INDIA bloc remained as robust as an iron fortress. He said they will welcome the elevation of Udhayanidhi Stalin as deputy chief minister as he ‘possessed the eligibility’ to assume the role. Selvaperunthagai dismissed as unfounded the allegation that Palani Panchamirtham was adulterated with contraceptive pills.
