Jhunjhunu: Recently, a Dalit youth was beaten to death by liquor mafia in Surajgarh police station area of Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. In the murder case, the police arrested 5 accused and detained a minor. The accused have been sent to jail. Police investigation revealed that the accused themselves worked at a liquor vend. Based on the police report, the Excise Department investigated the composite shop of licensee Sushil Kumar. Sushil Kumar’s license was canceled by the District Excise Officer after irregularities were found in the investigation. Surprisingly, the Excise Department has suspended the license for only 3 days (23, 24 and 25 May). The license will be reinstated on May 26. Let us tell you that on Wednesday, the hashtag ‘Bhajanlal Sharma resign’ was trending on social media regarding this murder.

Rameshwar Valmiki was beaten to death by five accused. The video of Rameshwar Valmiki being brutally beaten after tying his hands and legs also went viral. Police investigation revealed that the accused who committed the assault worked at a composite liquor shop. He suspected that Rameshwar Valmiki manufactured Hathkad liquor illegally. By selling handcuffed liquor, the sale of liquor at the composite shop of the accused was reduced. Due to this suspicion, the accused kidnapped Rameshwar. He was held hostage for five hours and beaten brutally. Due to which Rameshwar died. After the murder, the accused dumped Rameshwar’s body in front of his house and fled. After the case of murder came to light, the police arrested him.
The video of the murder incident went viral on social media. Whoever watched the video demanded action against the killers and the liquor contractor. The Excise Department took action but merely supplied food. The license of licensee Sunil Kumar’s shop was suspended by the District Excise Officer for only three days. In such a situation, people are asking on social media that liquor was sold illegally for the composite shop with the connivance of the liquor contractor. Employees were appointed against the rules. Despite this, the license was canceled only for three days.

Surajgarh police arrested 5 accused in Rameshwar Valmiki murder case. Among them, Badola resident history-sheeter Deependra Singh alias Chintu, Praveen Kumar alias PK, Praveen alias Baba, Subhash alias Chintu and Satish alias Sukkha were arrested. All the accused have been sent to jail. SP Rajarshi Raj Verma said that details of the property of the accused are being collected. If any illegal encroachment or illegal construction is found, bulldozers will be used.
