Crime news: A Dalit girl student committed suicide by hanging herself in Pilibhit district over alleged molestation on Monday night.

Pilibhit. Molestation with minor dalit student: A Dalit girl student committed suicide by hanging herself on Monday night due to alleged molestation in Pilibhit district. Police Officer (City) Sunil Dutt quoted the girl’s family members as saying that a 16-year-old girl living in a village under Sungarhi police station area was studying in class 11 in an inter college in the city. It is alleged that a youth named Sanjay, a resident of the village, used to chase and harass her. The girl’s family had explained to the accused many times, but even after this, the young man was not deterring from his antics.

He told that it is alleged that on Monday late evening due to molestation, the girl student committed suicide by hanging herself in her house. Police have taken the body of the girl student in possession and sent it for post-mortem. the matter is being investigated.
