The bullies keep an eye on the government pond in Sultanpur: Drainage of water from the houses of Dalits was stopped, women demonstrated at the collectorate.

The pond in which Harijan Basti is drained is being captured by powerful JCBs. When there was opposition, the bullies became intent on fighting. On which today a large number of women surrounded the Collectorate and demonstrated. Women have also accused the local administration of bias. Dozens of women from Udhanpur Harijan Basti of Dhammaur police station area reached the collectorate on Saturday. The women demonstrated loudly shouting slogans.

A memorandum in this regard has also been given to the DM on behalf of the women. It was alleged that 70-80 houses in the village belong to Harijan colony. The water of this colony is being drained into the government pond. But the village’s Satish Singh son Awadhraj Singh, Pranshu and Sudhanshu sons Dhirendra Pratap Singh threaten the village with illegal weapons. These bullies have blocked the water drain going into the pond by digging out soil with a JCB and installing a dumper.

Due to this, drainage stopped and there was a pile of filth in the village. The protesting women said that when the bullies were stopped, the accused used caste based words and threatened to kill them. That’s why we have come here to demand justice. Because the local police administration is not listening to us. An investigation has been conducted into this matter and action has been assured.
