Ranchi: A Dalit schoolgirl was reportedly raped in the Korra police station area of Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. As soon as the information was received, the police took immediate action and arrested the main accused.
The girl has been admitted to Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College and Hospital. It was told that the girl was left by her family at the gate of the school when two youths who were there forcibly put her on a bike and took her to an apartment flat and imprisoned her.
This apartment where the Dalit student was raped is located in Matwari. During this time, two of the accused’s associates were standing near the gate of the apartment and monitoring the movement of people.
The incident is said to have taken place on Wednesday. An FIR has been registered in Korra police station in this case. The main accused in the case, Rohit Rana, has been arrested. Police station in-charge Uttam Tiwari said that action will be taken under the POCSO Act in the case. Raids are being conducted to arrest the other two accused.
According to the victim, the accused teacher is working in a primary school located near her house. The accused raped her twice in the school office. Due to which she became pregnant. When the accused came to know about this, he brought medicines for abortion. The victim’s health worsened after taking abortion pills.
