State’s first transgender bodybuilder, Praveen, dies
Thrissur: Transman Praveen Nath, who was popularly known as Mr Kerala Transman, died on Thursday. He was admitted to Thrissur Government Medical College Hospital, reportedly after consuming poison at his house at Punkunnam on Wednesday. However, he died around Thursday noon. He was 24.
Praveen was the first transgender bodybuilder in the state and was selected as Mr Kerala Transman in 2021.
He married transwoman Rishana Aishu on February 14 this year.
There were some reports of marital discord between them. But Praveen came out with a post denying these reports.
According to his friends, Praveen was facing cyberbullying even after his denial of the reports of strains in his relationship with his wife.
