Lucknow: BSP national president Mayawati on Tuesday hit out at the Samajwadi Party for fielding a Dalit and an OBC candidate in the bypoll for the two seats in UP Legislative Council, elections for which were held on Monday.
She said SP knew that its candidates would lose and yet it fielded them. “When Samajwadi Party had majority (in the UP House) it had overlooked Dalits and OBCs. This shows that the party has not stopped conspiring against these communities,” she tweeted.
Mayawati said that it is because of this politics driven by malice and hatred that Dalits, OBCs and minorities have suffered in the regime of Samajwadi Party.
