SOP For Implementation Of SC, ST Prevention Of Atrocities Act Released In AP
Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy released a booklet on the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)-SC, ST Act Model Contingency Plan, brought out by Social Welfare Department at his chamber in Legislative Assembly here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the booklet with complete details of implementation of SC, ST Prevention of Atrocities Act will be more helpful and directed the officials to monitor the cases booked under this Act regularly and added to clear the pending cases.
The SOP booklet has the details of topics including taking steps to ensure justice for SCs and STs within a specified timeframe, eliminating administrative problems related to them and eradicating atrocities.
The Chief Minister also launched a website with complete details related to social justice, safety and development of SCs and STs. The State Government has taken measures to ensure the victims to file a complaint through online if they don’t get justice.
Deputy Chief Minister Pamula Pushpa Sreevani, Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharita, Ministers Taneti Vanitha, Pinepi Vishwarup, Adimulapu Suresh, MP Nandigam Suresh, SC, ST MLAs and MLCs, Social Welfare Principal Secretary K Sunitha, Tribal Welfare Secretary Kanthilal Dande, and other officials were present.
