Rotary Ranchi shares stage with transgenders in Ramgarh
Ramgarh, Oct 20:In our society, transgenders are neither counted among men nor among women. This is part of the ancient system of division on the basis of gender.
Even though transgenders have fought a long legal battle and got the transgender column legally registered in their documents, they are still deprived of the right to respect in the society. Similarly, with the aim of understanding the pain of the transgender community, solving their problems and encouraging them, Rotary Ranchi shared the stage with them.
Nargis, a transgender said it is a social belief that whoever receives our blessings prospers a lot. Everyone needs blessings, but still we are rebuked. Why is there this difference with us? The eunuch class is surrounded by the problems of social exclusion, unemployment, education and medicine.
Another transgender Tamanna said that today’s world has become modern, but even today we survive only by dancing and singing. We got the name transgender legally in 2014, which is a symbol of the victory of our struggle.
Rotary President Dr. Vinay Dhandhaniya said that the society should abandon any kind of discrimination against the transgender class and accept them with an open mind. They have no family of their own. They seek their happiness only in the happiness of others.
Former president Praveen Rajgarhia said that by including the transgender community in the mainstream of development, we can bring change in their lives. For economic uplift, there is a need to ensure that they are provided equal opportunities for education, employment training and employment. Their cultural importance that has been going on for centuries cannot be ignored. They need to be given equal opportunities in every field, he added.
Secretary Lalit Tripathi said that transgender are also citizens of the country like us. They have also got all kinds of rights under the law. But due to lack of awareness and solidarity they are not able to use the facilities and their rights. Our club is engaged in making them aware through such programs.
On this occasion, Assistant Governor Aditya Malhotra, First Lady Sudha Dhandhaniya, Bhandari Lal, SK Malhotra, Rajiv Modi, Manoj Tiwari, Ajaydeep Wadhwa, Amit Agarwal, Gaurav Prashant, Shalini Singhania, Jashdeep Singh, Atul Agarwal, Ajay Sabu, NK Makhija. , Harminder Singh were among those present on the occasion
