Churu. A Dalit youth was beaten up on suspicion of theft in Bhanipura police station area of ??Sardarshahar tehsil in Churu district of Rajasthan. Along with this young man, another Dalit was also beaten up. He was seriously injured. He is being treated in the hospital. An uproar erupted after the killing of a Dalit boy in Churu. Anger spread in the Dalit community. People of the Dalit community staged a protest in front of the Sardarshahar Hospital. Sardarshahar Congress MLA Anil Sharma and former minister Rajkumar Rinwan also reached there.
According to police, the incident took place in Ratusar village under Bhanipura police station area on Sunday. In the presence of Bhanipura police station officer Gaurav Khidiya, the police took the written statement of Gangaram, who was injured in the fight. Gangaram Meghwal said in a written statement that he and Kanhaiyalal had gone to the fields for work on Sunday. In the field, a severed wire of a high KV transmission line from Sutargarh was lying on the ground.
Both of the seven or eight guards were severely beaten.
At the same time, seven or eight guards left to take care of the wires that had reached there. They threw him on the ground and beat him with a stick, suspecting that he had stolen a wire. A man stood over the hands and feet of both of them, while the others began to beat them with sticks. He hit them both until they got tired of hitting them.
The villagers approached the police after giving information.
As soon as the news of the brawl reached the village, the villagers informed the Bhanipura police. After that, the police reached the spot and admitted both the injured to the government hospital in Sardarshahar. Kanhaiyalal Meghwal, who was injured in a scuffle there, died during treatment at night. In his written statement, Gangaram Meghwal said three to four others including Sumit Sharma, Govind Sharma, Bhatar Singh Rajput and Sanjay Yadav were involved in brutally assaulting him.
Police teams have been formed to arrest the accused
Bhanipura police station officer Gaurav Khidiya said that both of them were brutally beaten on suspicion of wire theft. After that, Kanhayalal Meghwal, who was admitted to a government hospital, died. Gangaram Meghwal’s treatment continues. Various teams have been formed to nab the accused perpetrators of the attack. The police will soon arrest the accused and take further action. MP Anil Sharma said that the issue is serious. Police should take strict action.
