Jaipur: The body of a 19-year-old Dalit girl has been found in a well in Karauli, Rajasthan. According to the information received from the police, the girl’s body was also hit by bullets. At present, the police have taken the dead body in custody and sent it for postmortem. Along with registering a case against the unknown, investigation has also been started. At the same time, the victim’s family is considering it as a case of alleged rape. Police is not saying anything clearly till the FSL and postmortem reports come. Regarding this incident, the mother of the deceased girl said that whoever did this to her daughter should be punished. We want the police to catch the accused and give him the harshest punishment. Please tell that the girl was missing since July 12.
On the other hand, politics has also started regarding this matter. The Bharatiya Janata Party has targeted the Gehlot government of the state over the alleged murder of a Dalit girl. BJP workers have sat on a dharna regarding this incident. At the same time, BSP has also targeted the Gehlot government regarding this incident. In the midst of all this, the police is investigating the whole matter.
Accused the police as well
People who came in support of the victim’s family say that the police did not take the matter seriously earlier. The victim’s family was in search of their missing daughter for several days, when the victim’s family informed the police about the daughter’s disappearance, the police did not register their case first. If the police had not delayed in registering the case, perhaps the girl’s life could have been saved.
Regarding this incident, Karauli Collector Ankit Kumar Singh said that the matter is still under investigation. We are in touch with the victim’s family. After the incident, the victim’s family demanded that action should be taken against the guilty. If there is delay in registering the case by the police, then there is a demand for action against the concerned policeman. Along with this, there is also a demand to give compensation of Rs 50 lakh to the victim’s family. Along with this, a demand has also been made to give a job to one person in the victim’s family.
Singh said that at present the police have started investigation in this matter by registering a case against the unknown. We have received some inputs in this matter, working on which we are trying to reach the accused. We had also talked to the mother of the deceased girl but she has not expressed any doubt on anyone.
