New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson Shazia Ilmi on Sunday expressed her views on the election results of Maharashtra and Jharkhand. Taking a dig at the performance of Congress in the election state, Shazia Ilmi said, ‘Naam bade aur darshan chhote. Big things were said like Bharat Jodo Yatra, Bharat Nyay Yatra and Samvidhaan Bachao Yatra, but what was the result? Congress performed the worst ever.’

He further said, ‘Maharashtra was once considered a stronghold of Congress. The way Uddhav Thackeray left his oldest alliance partner five years ago, left his father’s ideology and legacy, now see the result of that, people there voted for BJP with their heart and soul.’
‘Tukde-Tukde gang and making fun of India…’
He further said that Rahul Gandhi has a ‘far leftist mindset than the leftist’ and urban Naxal mindset. The result of the ‘Tukde-Tukde gang’ and making fun of India was that Rahul Gandhi got completely disconnected from the people. The person who travels all over the country and talks about uniting people, has no idea about the reality of the country.
‘… Lying is an old habit of Congress’
The BJP leader said that lying about reservation and the constitution is an old habit of Congress. While cursing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they start abusing the country and its citizens. This shows that they lack understanding.
‘Politics was earlier the property of only a few families’
Regarding the youth entering politics, he said that politics was earlier considered the property of only a few families, but now more and more people are entering it. They are contributing to politics due to their hard work, understanding and wisdom. Youth coming from different backgrounds get a place in a party. Only such parties can work today.
