Rahul Gandhi: Rahul’s statement on Muslim League signals to Muslim-Dalits, why should regional parties be afraid of this bet
In a conversation with Amar Ujala, Congress leader Rashid Alvi says that the BJP should first look at its own collar. Today the leaders of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal are seen spewing fire from morning till evening. RSS works to spread hatred across the country. Rahul Gandhi is absolutely right that the BJP government does politics to scare the Muslim community…
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is on a foreign tour these days. During this, his statements are being issued one after the other. In this episode, while talking to reporters in Washington DC on Thursday, he has given a statement regarding the Muslim League. Rahul claimed that the ‘Muslim League is a ‘purely secular party’. This statement of the Congress leader is being linked to the upcoming state assembly elections and the Muslim-Dalit equation for Mission 2024. Because the party has performed tremendously in Karnataka after harnessing this traditional vote bank. That’s why Congress will be seen moving forward with this formula in the upcoming election states.
So that this vote bank, which was scattered years ago, would come back in his court again. But in Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Delhi, Kerala, Telangana, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Maharashtra, regional parties remain a big hurdle in the way. Because this vote has shifted from Congress to these parties. In such a situation, the party is again trying to help them. However, the concern of regional parties has increased considering the tendency of Muslims in Karnataka towards Congress. This is the reason why prominent leaders of all regional parties including Nitish Kumar, Arvind Kejriwal, Mamta Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav have openly started doing politics of appeasement.
Bharat Jodo Yatra started connecting Muslims
Recently Congress party started Bharat Jodo Yatra under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi. This journey, which started from South India, made a lot of headlines till Jammu and Kashmir. During the entire visit, Rahul’s statement ‘I have come to open the shop of love in the market of hatred’ remained in discussion. With this slogan, it was believed that the party is making a strategy to help the old minority vote bank through this. Which is divided due to the dominance of regional parties in the states. In Karnataka, the Congress got better support in Muslim-dominated areas than the regional party JDS. Now Congress will be seen moving forward on the same formula in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
Political experts say that this visit of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was not to connect India, but to connect his old vote bank. Dalits, tribals and Muslims are all included in this. This journey of Rahul passed through the same place where mostly the people of Dalit and tribal community live here apart from the Muslim community. Therefore, it can be definitely said that this visit of Rahul was a visit to connect the minorities. Because Congress knows that before 1990 the Muslim community used to vote for Congress outright. He has gradually shifted to regional parties. This visit of the Congress was to reunite the same Muslims. In which the Congress has also been successful to a great extent.
Rahul Gandhi is absolutely right that the BJP government does politics to scare the Muslim community. UP CM Yogi says that he will remove the heat after the elections, for whom was that statement. What does the manner in which Atiq Ahmed was killed in police custody mean? Rahul Gandhi rightly said that BJP’s policy is to scare Muslims and polarize the society.
Will this formula of Rahul work in three states?
In conversation with Amar Ujala, Congress leader says that Congress cannot come back in 2024 only on the basis of Muslim vote bank. Because today the Muslim vote bank is divided into many regional parties. The Muslim community is seen leaning towards Samajwadi Party in UP, TMC in West Bengal, National Conference and PDP in Jammu and Kashmir, JDU-RJD in Bihar, NCP in Maharashtra and AAP in Delhi. This is the reason why Rahul Gandhi has started raising the issue of Dalits and Sikhs along with Muslims in America. Along with Dalits, Adivasis and Sikhs have also been the core vote bank of the Congress. But now it has shifted towards BJP. The Congress has tried to help the Dalits by making Mallikarjun Kharge the president. The party will get the benefit of this in South as well as in North India. Congress seems to be in a strong position in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. If in these three states, Rahul Gandhi is successful in helping Muslims as well as Adivasis and Dalits, then the party will get great success.
The path to 2024 can be easy with the help of Muslims
Political and electoral analysts say that the central government claims that we have been giving benefits of the scheme to the people of the country along with the Muslims without any discrimination. But 98 percent of the country’s Muslims still vote against the Bharatiya Janata Party. There is a competition between the anti-BJP political parties to get this Muslim vote bank. By the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Muslims would have completely aligned with the Congress. In such a situation, if the Congress contests the Lok Sabha elections on its own in the whole country, then definitely it is expected to get more benefits than the last election. But if the party joins hands with regional parties in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, it may have to bear losses. Because all the parties are engaged in helping women along with Dalits, Muslims and tribals.
BJP’s plan, Rahul should be surrounded on his every statement
BJP is also becoming aware of the suddenly changing circumstances. That’s why the party is also responding aggressively to every statement of Rahul Gandhi. This is the reason why the party has deployed its army of leaders to surround Rahul Gandhi. Whether it is the spokesperson of the party or the Union Minister, everyone is seen surrounding Rahul.
