New Delhi: Congress in Bihar is seriously and strongly engaged in preparations for the upcoming elections. Regarding this, an important meeting was held with the leadership of Congress leaders in the new office of Congress, Indira Bhawan, on Tuesday, in which Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Congress Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal and Bihar State In-charge Krishna Alavaru were present. In the meeting, it was agreed that in the upcoming elections, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, Sachin Pilot will be given important responsibility in the campaign, while independent MP from Purnia Pappu Yadav will play a big role in the campaign for the party.

Congress indicated that it will contest Bihar elections under the banner of India Alliance.

Rajesh Kumar said that in the meeting, it was discussed how to remove BJP and its allies from power in Bihar.
Candidates’ names to be announced soon
According to sources, it was agreed in the meeting that not only will the elections be fought well, the candidature for the seats will also be announced beforehand instead of keeping it till the last moment. It is said that most of the leaders in the meeting were of the opinion that by coordinating on good seats, the picture of the candidature should be made clear beforehand so that the party and the candidate get a chance to work.

Among the leaders who reached the meeting, about a dozen MLAs and MLCs of Bihar were also included as well as MPs and big leaders of the central Congress. These included leaders like Rajya Sabha MP and former state president Akhilesh Prasad Singh, Ranjit Ranjan, Lok Sabha MPs Tariq Anwar and Mohammad Javed, former Lok Sabha Speaker Meera Kumar, former Bihar minister Shakeel Ahmed Khan.

Rajesh Kumar said that we will raise issues related to the public in the elections. These days, youth leader Kanhaiya Kumar is taking out a yatra in Bihar regarding employment. This was also discussed in the meeting. During the discussion, there was a large scale consensus that the yatra should be taken out with more strength and intensity.
