Rahul Gandhi is not our leader, we don’t even consider him the leader of the alliance… There is a ruckus over the leadership in INDIA, Ram Gopal’s attack
Lucknow: Who is the leader of the opposition alliance I.N.D.I.A.? Mamta Banerjee or Rahul Gandhi? There is a ruckus in the opposition alliance on this at this time. The tone of the opposition, which contested the Lok Sabha elections under the banner of I.N.D.I.A., now seems to have changed. Statements are constantly coming out on the question of the leader of the opposition alliance I.N.D.I.A. Meanwhile, a big statement has also come from the main opposition party of Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party, regarding Rahul Gandhi. The statement of the party’s national general secretary and MP Prof. Ram Gopal Yadav has come out. In this, he has said that we do not consider Rahul Gandhi as our or the alliance’s leader. Now the possibility of the controversy deepening on this has increased.
What did Ram Gopal Yadav say?
Prof. Ram Gopal also took a dig at the performance of Congress in the Lok Sabha elections. He said that Congress did not perform well in the elections. If the party had performed well, the I.N.D.I.A. alliance would have got power. On Mamata Banerjee’s statement, Prof. Yadav said that no one comes into politics as a saint. Everyone wants a post.
SP’s national general secretary said that Mamata Banerjee must be saying that Congress has not performed well anywhere, be it Lok Sabha elections or assembly elections. He said that Congress is in power in Himachal Pradesh, they lost all four seats in the Lok Sabha elections. Congress is in power in Telangana and Karnataka, they lost half the seats there too.
Prof. Yadav said that the states where Congress is in power would have performed well. They could not win a single seat in Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh. If the result had changed, Narendra Modi would not have become the Prime Minister today. Rahul Gandhi is not our leader. He is not even the leader of the I.N.D.I.A. alliance.
What did Mamata Banerjee say?
West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee has given a big statement about the leader of the I.N.D.I.A. alliance. She has said that if needed, she is ready to take the responsibility of I.N.D.I.A. from Bengal itself. She said that we have created the I.N.D.I.A. block. Now the responsibility of handling it is on those who lead it. If they cannot run it, what can I do?
His statement is being seen as a changing equation at the Centre. During the winter session, Trinamool Congress and SP are seen standing apart from Congress on various issues. In such a situation, the politics of the opposition is now seen to be divided into two poles.
