‘Rae Bareli aaj sharminda hai’: Hindu right body targets Rahul Gandhi with posters over Parliament scuffle
NEW DELHI: A Hindu rights organization, Vishwa Hindu Raksha Parishad, displayed hoardings and posters denouncing local MP and Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi over his involvement in Thursday’s Parliament scuffle.
The posters, which were put up along the route from the Churuva border to the Rae Bareli district headquarters, accused Gandhi of assaulting elderly MPs in Parliament.

The group’s national general secretary, Rahul Singh, said the incident deeply hurt him, prompting the action.
Congress district president Pankaj Tiwari dismissed the allegations, calling them baseless. He claimed Gandhi’s growing popularity, especially after the Bharat Jodo Yatra, has left the BJP frustrated. “People of Rae Bareli are aware of the reality behind these posters,” Tiwari added.
The BJP has accused Gandhi of “hooliganism” during the Parliament session, alleging he pushed and injured BJP MPs Pratap Chandra Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput.
Following the incident, Delhi Police registered a case of assault against Gandhi.
This comes amidst escalating tensions between the Congress and BJP over the recent disruptions in Parliament, with both parties trading barbs over the events.
