The happiness on their faces was telling that a big dream has been fulfilled. The sanitation workers, labourers and transgender community, who became special guests of PM Modi’s oath ceremony, had received an invitation to such a big ceremony for the first time. If you understand in their words, they hadn’t even imagined such an honour.
Construction worker Angad said- I kept the invitation letter close to my heart for many days, I couldn’t believe that I was also invited. Sanitation worker Seema Pawan Bohat, while sharing her happiness, said- I didn’t even know what an oath ceremony is. If the PM invited me, he must have thought something through. This honour gives me happiness. Thanks to him. Transgenders who reached the venue dancing and singing said, “We have come to bless our Modi and the government.” Sonam Kinnar from Uttar Pradesh said, “In reality, PM Modi has done the work of increasing respect in the society. We have full faith in him.” I could not sleep for two nights in happiness, I am surprised. Angad Paswan, a resident of Jharkhand and a construction worker working in the Central Vista project, who was invited as a guest in the ceremony, is happy as well as surprised. Holding the invitation letter to his chest, he says that he cannot believe that he has been invited. He has not slept for two nights. 50-year-old Muni Thakur of Godda district of Jharkhand said, “Never thought even in my dreams that I would be a part of such a grand occasion. If I get a chance, I will take a selfie with PM Modi.” Anand Kumar Jaiswal of Bihar said, “PM has worked towards overall development by taking people of every community along.” Apart from 90 construction workers, 30 sanitation workers and transgenders have been invited to the program.
