The initiative aims to uncover untapped opportunities within the global space industry, with a specific focus on empowering Dalit entrepreneurs, women, and girls.
New York- In commemoration of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s 133rd Birth Anniversary in April this year, a ground breaking initiative to empower marginalized communities in space technology is set to unfold at the prestigious United Nations Headquarters in New York.
Spearheaded by the unwavering dedication of Deelip Mhaske, a devoted follower of Dr. Ambedkar for over two decades, this monumental event is a testament to Mhaske’s commitment to Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals that transcend geographical boundaries.
In collaboration with the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations, the Foundation For Human Horizon, and the United Nations, this event will convene renowned experts, including members of the Chandrayan 3 team, NASA representatives, and esteemed global space agencies.
At its core, the initiative aims to uncover untapped opportunities within the global space industry, with a specific focus on empowering marginalized communities, notably Dalit entrepreneurs, women, and girls.
In a conversation with The Mooknayak, Deelip Mhaske said the efforts to introduce cutting-edge technologies to marginalized communities have yielded remarkable results. In a historic milestone last year, he united ten visionary billionaires in support of the “AI For Social Justice” initiative, dedicated to training marginalized youth in seeking stock trading opportunities on a global scale.

To celebrate Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s 133rd Birth Anniversary, more than 2000 participants from around the world will converge at the United Nations Headquarters on April 12, 2024, from 13:00 to 15:00.
This event, titled “Empowering Sustainable Development Goals with Space Technology Advancements,” not only explores the potential of space science and technology but also pays tribute to Dr. Ambedkar’s unwavering commitment to justice and education.

António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations; Mr. José Hernandez, Crew of Space Shuttle mission STS-128, currently Regent of the University of California, and Hollywood biopic star of “A Million Miles Away.”
