He said that his party will raise the issue of this religious event becoming a “gathering of VIPs associated with the ruling BJP”. Tiwari said that the issue of rising unemployment and the “plight” of farmers will also be raised during the session. He said that the ‘India’ alliance will raise all the issues together in the session to highlight the problems of the common people. Parliament Budget Session : Opposition’s sharp attitude in all-party meeting
On behalf of the government, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju called an all-party meeting on Thursday, in which 52 leaders from 36 parties participated. The meeting was chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. BJP President and Union Minister J.P. Nadda, Congress’s Gaurav Gogoi and Jairam Ramesh, DMK’s T.R. Many leaders including Balu, TMC’s Sudip Bandyopadhyay and Derek O’Brien participated. Rijiju asked all parties to run the session in a cooperative manner. After the meeting, Rijiju described the meeting as positive and told the media that the party leaders raised some issues, which demanded discussion. Now the Business Advisory Committee of the Lok Sabha will decide which issues will be discussed. The Parliamentary Minister admitted that Maha Kumbh was mentioned by many parties. In fact, many opposition parties are demanding a discussion on the stampede in Maha Kumbh.

Congress leader Pramod Tiwari, who attended the meeting, said that the opposition camp would raise all issues in the budget session of Parliament. At the same time, Tiwari also criticized the ‘alleged politicization of Maha Kumbh’. He said that the movement of VVIP people during Maha Kumbh is creating difficulties for the common man. Congress will raise the issue of this religious event becoming a gathering of VIP people associated with the ruling BJP. Tiwari said that the issue of rising unemployment and the ‘plight’ of farmers will also be raised during the session.
Parliament Budget Session : Important agenda of the government in the budget session
The government has made it clear that it will bring 16 bills in the budget session apart from the general budget. Among these, the Waqf Amendment Bill along with three other drafts have also been kept in its agenda. Since, after the consideration of the JPC, the report on Waqf has been submitted to the Speaker, now the way for this bill to come to the Lok Sabha has once again become clear. Along with the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, the Muslim Waqf (Abolition) Bill was also introduced. Other important bills include the Immigration and Foreigners Bill, ‘Tribhuvan Cooperative University Bill’ Protection of Interests in Aircraft Object Bill and Banking Law Amendment Bill, Railway Amendment Bill, Disaster Management Amendment Bill, Boilers Bill, Coastal Shipping and Merchant Shipping Bill. The Finance Bill, 2025 and related grant demands and appropriation bills have also been listed by the government for the session. Apart from the Waqf Amendment, the Immigration and Foreigners Bills are such bills which can be controversial. The bill related to foreigners may change the rules for foreigners to come and go to India. There are also 10 other such bills, which are pending in both the houses since the last session.
