Order to register case against three including former famous SHO in the case of calling Dalit youth to police station and harassing him, matter heats up
An order has been given to register a case against three including former SHO in the case of calling Dalit youth to police station and harassing him and taking one-sided action. In the case of Maharajganj land dispute, two years ago, the then SHO Ramagya Singh is seen to be paying a heavy price for calling a Dalit youth to Nichlaul police station and harassing him and taking one-sided action for breach of peace.
The victim had earlier appealed to the higher officials of the police to take action in this matter, but when there was no hearing anywhere, he went to the court. Now the court has ordered to register a case against three including the then SHO Ramagya Singh, constable Paramhans Gaur in the case. According to the correspondent, the victim Siddharth Gautam, a resident of Pipra Qazi village, was having a land dispute with the opponents in his village itself. In this regard, both the parties were called to the police station on July 3, 2022. It is alleged that Nichlaul police, in collusion with the opposition, harassed him at the police station and not only abused him, but also locked him in the lockup. After some time, taking one-sided action, they also issued a challan for breach of peace, but in the challan report, the police wrote a fake case and showed that the arrest was made during a dispute with the village. The victim also sent a complaint in this matter to the Superintendent of Police, Inspector General of Police and Director General of Police, but no action was taken. After which he knocked the door of the court.
On the basis of the application of the victim, Special Judge Exclusive Special Court SC-ST Act Shakir Hasan has ordered to register a case against the then SHO Ramagya Singh, constable Paramhans Gaur and an unknown person. Now the matter has heated up.
