Now, HCS officer accused of exploitation
Hisar: A Dalit contractual worker in Haryana public health department has accused an HCS officer of sexually exploiting him at gunpoint. State govt suspended the Haryana Civil Services officer, posted in Hisar, on Thursday evening, but no reason has been mentioned. The worker has sent a complaint to the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC), a judge of the Punjab and Haryana high court, and the director general of police, accusing the officer of sexual harassment.
The worker has also accused the officer of making casteist remarks. According to police officials, they received the complaint by post.
In his complaint, the victim said he had been working as a masseur since 2020. The officer used to call him for massages for Rs 200 a session. After this, the officer got him a job as a sweeper, he said. “Six months ago, the officer called me for a massage. First, he got a massage done. After this, he asked me to massage his private parts as well, but I refused. After this, he took out a pistol and threatened to kill me and fire me from the job. After this, I was forced to have unnatural sex,” he said.
“Later, I filmed a video of this exploitation to gather evidence. I stopped going there, deciding to either die or lodge a complaint against him. I am a cardiac patient,” the contractual worker said.
Hisar superintendent of police Shashank Kumar Sawan said they had called the complainant to record his statement.
