Thousands of youth demanding justice on this issue demonstrated from Charbagh to the Assembly on Wednesday morning. The candidates were continuously moving towards the assembly raising slogans of giving justice to the backward Dalits. But instead of giving justice, the police of Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh stopped the candidates by barricading near Hussainganj intersection. During this period, many candidates were injured due to police brutality.
The candidates said that after the instructions of the Chief Minister, on January 5, 2022, the list for appointment of 6800 reserved category candidates was released but the appointment has not been received till date. We are making only one demand that we should be made to meet the Honorable Chief Minister so that we can get appointment. If their demands are not met, they will be forced to surround the Assembly again tomorrow morning.
On the other hand, recently this matter was debated in the High Court of Uttar Pradesh. During this, OBC community’s lawyer Sudeep Seth told Justice Bhatia, who was hearing the case, that in this recruitment, reservation for the OBC category has been given not 27 percent but only 3.80 percent. Whereas instead of 21 percent reservation for Scheduled Castes, 16.2 percent reservation has been given. Advocate Sudeep Seth claimed that there was a scam in teacher recruitment not of 6800 seats but of 19 thousand seats. On this, the High Court judge reprimanded the government and said that give jobs to the victims otherwise we will take a decision.
