NDA govt has made Bihar hub of paper leaks: Rahul
Patna: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Saturday criticised the NDA govt in Bihar, accusing it of turning the state into a “labour factory” and making it a hub for paper leaks. Addressing party workers at Sadaquat Ashram here, he said the Congress, along with other INDIA bloc allies, would defeat the BJP and RSS in Bihar.
“This fight is between two ideologies. One seeks to protect the Constitution and spread love, while the other — the BJP and RSS — thrives on hatred, violence and disunity. The Congress is directly opposed to the BJP-RSS ideology,” Rahul said.
He also raised concerns about alleged discrepancies in voter lists, citing Maharashtra as an example where the number of voters grew by one crore between the Lok Sabha and assembly elections. “Despite repeated requests, the Election Commission has not shared the voters’ list. The next election is in Bihar, a revolutionary state. Major changes in India often begin here,” he said, urging party workers to prepare for the battle.
Calling Congress workers “Babar Sher”, Rahul motivated them to fight for the people of Bihar. “You are the tigers. The ideology of Congress runs in your veins. Fight for the farmers, youth, the poor and minorities in Bihar. We must defeat BJP-RSS,” he said.
Rahul also criticised RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat over his comments on India’s independence, alleging it reflected the RSS’s disregard for the Constitution. “Bhagwat’s statement implies India did not gain independence when the Constitution was framed. BJP and RSS are working to dismantle the Constitution,” he said.
Bhagwat had recently said the date of Ram temple consecration in Ayodhya should be celebrated as “Pratishtha Dwadashi”, as the “true independence” of Bharat, which faced “parachakra” (enemy attack) for several centuries, was established on this day.
Rahul accused the NDA govt of exploiting Bihar’s workforce. “While you toil hard, investing your blood and sweat, PM Narendra Modi transfers wealth to millionaires,” he said.
Following his speech, Rahul inaugurated the newly built Indira Bhawan for party workers. He was welcomed warmly and presented with a garland of fox nut, a symbol of Bihar.
