Maulana Mahmood Madani’s big statement, said- Just like Dalits became victims of untouchability, now Muslims… Government should take back the decision, Muslims have always respected their faith and beliefs and have never hurt them
New Delhi. Maulana Mahmood Madani, President of UP’s Deoband Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, has strongly condemned the order of the Uttar Pradesh government revealing religious identity on the route of Kanwar Yatra. Maulana Madani called this decision unfair, based on prejudice and discriminatory and said that a disgusting conspiracy is being hatched to make Muslims second class citizens.
In a statement issued on Friday, Maulana Mahmood Madani said that the way Dalit class was made a victim of untouchability for centuries, their existence was presented as impure. Now a disgusting conspiracy is being hatched to treat Muslims in the same way and make them second class citizens. This action is desecrating the cultural identity of the country, its map, its structure and its greatness. Which can never be accepted in the country of Mahatma Buddha, Chishti, Nanak and Gandhi.
Maulana Madani argued that this decision is being implemented in a specific area in practice, but its effects will be far-reaching and will give strength to those forces who want economic boycott of Muslims. Maulana Madani also said that the areas through which the Kanwar Yatra passes have a large population of Muslims. Muslims have always respected their faith and beliefs and have never hurt them. But such an order will seriously harm communal harmony and will create distance and misunderstanding among the people. Madani has demanded the state government to immediately withdraw this decision.
