Ahead of PM Modi’s election rally in southwest Delhi’s Dwarka on Wednesday, police issued traffic advisory and requested commuters to cooperate with the arrangements.
As per the advisory PM Modi will visit DDA Park in Dwarka Sector-14, opposite Vegas Mall, to address the rally.

Elections 2024 LIVE: EC Directs Police To Take Action Against YSRCP MLA Caught Damaging EVM In Andhra
The Election Commission on Tuesday directed the Andhra Pradesh police chief to take strict criminal action against ruling YSRCP MLA who was caught on camera damaging an EVM in the Macherla assembly constituency during the Lok Sabha elections on May 13.
“In Macherla Assembly Constituency, EVMs were damaged in seven polling stations including the PS no (polling station number) 202 where this incident of damage of EVM by the sitting MLA P Ramakrishna Reddy was recorded in the web camera,” said a statement from Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Mukesh Kumar Meena’s office late on Tuesday.
Further, the Election Commission called on the police to take stringent action against all the persons involved in the EVM damaging cases to make an example out of them so that “nobody in the future dares to take any such action to interfere into the peaceful conduct of polls”.

An assistant teacher posted as a polling officer in Hamirpur for the Lok Sabha elections was suspended for clicking a selfie inside the polling booth.
UP’s Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa said that the teacher, Ashish Kumar Arya, allegedly took selfies with his mobile phone and took photographs of voters on the day of voting, which is a clear violation of the instructions of the Election Commission.
He said that due to this “serious violation”, the District Basic Education Officer of Hamirpur has suspended Arya and has attached him to the Block resource centre in Muskara.

Elections 2024 LIVE: Monks To Take Out Rally Against Mamata Banerjee’s Remarks
The Monks of West Bengal have decided to take out a rally in Kolkata on May 24 againt Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee remarks against some monks of Ramakrishan Mission and Bharat Sevasharam Sangha.
The ‘Sant Swabhiman Yatra’ will be organised in north Kolkata by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) members of the Bangiya Sanyasi Samaj, an apex body of monks in the state.
“The CM is making such remarks due to vote bank politics. We strongly condemn it. Monks of West Bengal will hold a protest rally against the comments,” VHP leader Sourish Mukherjee said.
