Kalady varsity to host lecture on dalit identity
Kochi: Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit (SSUS), Kalady, will conduct a ‘distinguished lecture programme’ on dalit identity on the university campus on Tuesday. The lecture will be delivered by renowned dalit writer, activist, editor and critic Sharankumar Limbale. Named Dalit Identity: Past and Present, the special programme will be organized by the Hindi department of the university and will be held at the seminar hall of Language Block on the campus at 10.30am.
Limbale will talk about dalit literature which has emerged as an integral part of a larger political movement in the contemporary India. SSUS vice-chancellor M V Narayanan will honour Limbale. Hindi department head K Sreelatha will preside over. tnn
