Jeetu Patwari in aggressive mood! Government cornered in case of atrocities on Dalits, threatened hunger strike if no action is taken
Congress state president Jeetu Patwari criticized the Madhya Pradesh government and police. He alleged discrimination against Dalits and threatened hunger strike if no action is taken. This case is related to the custodial death of Sunny Jatav, which is being investigated by the Tehsildar and forensic team.

Jeetu Patwari in aggressive mood!
Bhopal: Congress state president Jeetu Patwari has criticized both the police and the BJP government. He alleged discrimination against Dalits and threatened hunger strike if no action is taken by the government in the case. The case is being investigated by the Tehsildar and SDM along with forensic team. Initial findings show that Jatav hanged himself with a towel.
Taken into custody four days ago
Sunny Jatav, a resident of Ward No. 63 of Laxmanpur Jalalpur in Gwalior, used to work as a laborer while living with his aunt in Morena. His family claims that he was detained by the police four days before his death. The exact circumstances of his suicide are still under investigation.
Arrested in vehicle theft case
Earlier, on August 23, a tribal named Dharmendra hanged himself in a police lockup while being detained for questioning in a vehicle theft case in Khandwa district. He was detained by the Pandhana police after a stolen motorcycle was recovered from him. Dharmendra hanged himself from the window of the lockup by making a noose of a towel. After the death of the accused, four police personnel including the station in-charge were suspended.
Hunger strike in Katni case too
Earlier, he had also sat on a hunger strike in the case of beating of grandmother and grandson in GRP police station in Katni. He sat on hunger strike till an FIR was not registered against the policemen who beat both of them in the police station. Patwari had said that BJP does not want to let the people of Scheduled Caste and Tribe move forward even a bit but Congress will ensure justice. He had said that the shop of love will continue to run in the market of hatred.
