Jaunpur News: Dalit youth committed suicide by consuming poison, made a video one and a half months ago; named the accused

2 A video of a youth of Purva Asmanpatti village of Behra village of Kerakat Kotwali of Jaunpur committing suicide by consuming poison went viral on social media on Sunday. However, the video is said to be one and a half months old.
In the case, on the complaint of the brother of the deceased, the police have registered a case against the accused. The accused has fled from home. Police is investigating by taking two people into custody.
The brother of the deceased, Rajkumar, told the police that my brother Raja Kumar had sold one of his mobile phones to Saurabh Pandey of the same village for Rs 28 thousand, but he was not giving the money. Many times they were not giving money on asking and were threatening to kill. Many times the elder brother of the accused came home and threatened to kill. Due to which my brother got angry and committed suicide by consuming poison.
He told that the incident happened on 27th September. After the incident, we took our brother to Sindhaura (Varanasi) for treatment, where when his condition became critical, we went to Varanasi, where my brother died. The family brought the dead body home and burnt it the next day.
The matter came to light when the mobile of the deceased was found by the family. Someone sent the video of the incident to the SP’s number on Sunday morning, as soon as the video went viral, the police came into action.
Kerakat Kotwal Satish Singh and Thanagaddi Chowki in-charge Vidyasagar Singh reached the spot with a heavy force. The deceased’s brother and his mother informed the police about the entire incident. The police have registered a case of abetting suicide in the matter. Kotwali in-charge Satish Kumar Singh said that a case has been registered on the complaint of the victim. Raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.
