In Madhya Pradesh, brutality against Dalit family, youth murdered, mother stripped

It would break anyone’s heart to hear a sister screaming over her brother’s dead body. But the skin of the people in power is so thick that even lice cannot crawl on them.

The incident took place in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh. A heart-wrenching news has come to light from Baroudiya-Naunagir of Khurai Dehat police station area in Sagar district. Here the girl’s 18 year old brother was killed for not reaching a compromise in the old case of molestation of a Dalit girl. According to the sister of the deceased, the goons of the BJP minister killed the victim’s 18-year-old brother. Not only this, the mother who came to save her son was stripped and beaten. His house was demolished.

The incident took place last Thursday, August 24. After the incident, the police have registered a case against 9 named and four other accused on the complaint under various sections including murder. However, some accused are still absconding. One of the accused, Sarpanch Pati, is also absconding.

The sister of the deceased told that Vikram Singh, Komal Singh and Azad Singh of the village had come to the house. Started telling mother to resign. Mother said that when the hearing comes, we will resign on the same day. On this he said to the mother that isn’t the life of children dear? After giving such threat he left. The younger brother had gone to the bus stand to buy vegetables. He was returning home from there when the accused started assaulting him on the way. When mom came to save her, they also beat her and exposed her in front of 70 people. I folded my hands and legs but did not leave my brother. Threatened to rape me. I saved my life by running into the forest.

The victim’s family says that all the accused are goons of a BJP minister.

This incident has shaken the capital of Madhya Pradesh from Bhopal to Delhi. BSP supremo Mayawati along with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad have also fiercely cornered the Madhya Pradesh government in this matter.
