Sonbhadra News: A case has been registered under various sections of IPC against five including four NTPC officers in the case of death of a female laborer due to collapse of wall during the demolition of houses for expansion of NTPC’s mother unit Singrauli Thermal Power Project located at Shaktinagar.

The accused also include the contractor who got the contract for demolition of houses. He has been accused of the death of the female laborer due to negligent act. On the intervention of the court in the matter, Shaktinagar police has started investigation by registering a case under Section 323, 504, 56, 304A IPC and SC-ST Act.
This was the whole case
Let us tell you that Babadin Gondon, a resident of Khokhvagaon of Chitrangi police station area under Singrauli district of border Madhya Pradesh, had filed an application in the court and requested for action. In the complaint, he had told that his mother Hiramati died due to the forceful act of the senior officials of NTPC, who demolished the wall.
Knowing that the work was being done by the laborers, the wall was forcibly pushed down by a JCB without any warning. Due to which his mother Hiramati died.
Case registered on the intervention of the court
Considering the case of serious nature in this entire matter, the court, keeping in view the facts mentioned in the application and the allegations made, ordered the police station in-charge Shaktinagar to register an FIR and investigate. According to Shaktinagar police, keeping in view the allegations leveled by the son of the deceased female laborer and the order received from the court, a case has been registered against the five accused under sections 323, 504, 506, 304A IPC and SC-ST Act. Investigation of the case is ongoing.
