Hooda should give account of atrocities on Dalits: Krishna Bedi
Chandigarh. BJP has retaliated on the Haryana Maange Hisaab campaign started by Congress. BJP spokesperson and former minister Krishna Bedi said that for the last ten days, the only leader left in Congress in Haryana, Bhupendra Singh Hooda and his family are demanding accountability from BJP for ten years of tenure. BJP wants to ask former CM Hooda why he did not respect the Constitution and Constitution maker Baba Saheb Ambedkar during his ten years of tenure. Hooda should answer why the victims did not get justice in the incident of Dalit atrocities in Gohana during his tenure. Dalits were not given any security. The victims had to appeal to the President.
Hooda should tell that during his tenure, 272 houses of Dalit colony were burnt in Mirchpur village of Hisar on 21 April 2010. What did Hooda do for the victims. People had to wander to Hisar, Chandigarh and Delhi for justice, but there was no hearing. The matter even went to the Supreme Court. In 2018, the Manohar government of BJP displaced these victims in Dhandhoor village of Hisar. They were provided all kinds of facilities. Hooda should answer why the rules of reservation were not followed in the 15500 guest teachers recruited arbitrarily during his tenure in Haryana. If reservation was given at the rate of 20 percent, then 3500 Scheduled Caste children would have got employment but Dalits were exploited in the Hooda government.
Bedi said that from the formation of Haryana till 2017, no commission was formed to assess the economic and social condition of the sanitation workers. It was former CM Manohar Lal, who constituted a commission on 6 November 2017 to assess the condition of the sanitation workers. Former CM Hooda should explain why he harassed Scheduled Caste leaders Ashok Tanwar and Kumari Selja while being the state president.
