Lucknow: Tension prevailed in Sandeepan Ghat area under Harraipur police station of Kaushambi district after murder of three member of a Dalit family on Thursday night.

Agitated over the sensational crime, locals gathered at the spot and shouted slogans demanding justice for the family. A heavy police deployment has been made in the area to prevent any untoward incident.

As per the initial reports, force from several police stations in the area have rushed to the spot. Several senior police officers are already at the crime spot.

Police said that the people from the victims’ side also set ablaze to the houses of some of the suspects in the village.
