Harda: Retired officer beats minor Dalit for urinating in open, makes him clean drain with shirt
Harda. A case that shames humanity has come to light from Madhya Pradesh. Here a retired officer not only brutally beat up a minor Dalit boy but also forced him to clean the drain with his shirt. The incident is said to have taken place in front of Vivekananda Complex in Harda.
The accused DP Ojha has been arrested by the police. It is being told that the victim was allegedly urinating in the open, due to which the accused beat him up. The accused is said to be a retired income tax officer.
According to the information, Harda police station in-charge Prahlad Singh said, a person urinating in front of Vivekananda Complex was beaten up by DP Ojha, a resident of the same area. The accused also forced him to clean with his clothes. A case has been registered under the sections of ST Act and assault and the accused has been arrested.
The official said that Ojha has been sent to jail by the local court. The minor boy’s father said that his son is disabled since birth. The victim’s father demanded strict action against Ojha. Earlier, in August, a video surfaced from Katni in MP, in which a 15-year-old boy and his grandmother were seen being brutally beaten inside a GRP police station.
According to the police, the incident took place in October last year but its video surfaced on social media. Taking cognizance of the video, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav ordered the suspension of the accused.
