Gopalganj Dalit headmistress assaulted, case registered
Bihar News Desk: A young man under the influence of alcohol abused and assaulted Lakshmi Devi, the headmistress of the primary school, Nathanpura, Aanti Panchayat, located in the Kadirganj OP area of the district.
The incident is said to have happened in the school premises. The headmistress is said to be from a Dalit family and is a resident of Anti. It is alleged that during school hours, Rishiraj Singh of Nathanpura village reached the school under the influence of alcohol and started misbehaving with the headmistress. Meanwhile, the headmistress informed her husband and son about the incident over phone. When son Sahil reached there to rescue his mother, the accused beat him up too. Meanwhile, he mentally harassed the headmistress by using caste related words.
FIR lodged
According to Kadirganj OPD President Neeraj Kumar, after getting information about the incident from the headmistress, the police reached the school. By that time the accused had left from there. On the application of the headmistress, an FIR has been registered against the accused. The headmistress has complained about the matter to the education department and other senior officials and has demanded action against the accused.
