Five people raped a Dalit woman on the pretext of lending her money, police detained three accused.
Didwana: A case of gang rape of a Dalit woman by five youths of Didwana police station area has come to light. It is alleged that these youth lured the woman by luring her with the promise of lending her money and then raped her separately. The victim has lodged a report regarding this matter at Didwana police station, on which the police have taken action and detained three accused. While the search is on for the remaining two accused.
According to the police, this incident happened on August 22. On this day, when a 32-year-old Dalit woman from the police station area needed some money, a young man named Kishore Mali lured her to lend money and raped her. After this, he gave the woman’s mobile number to some other people, who also called the woman to a private hotel on the pretext of giving her money and raped her. In this way, about five youths raped the woman separately.

After this, being upset, the victim reached Didwana police station and registered a case of gang rape against the five youths. Acting on this, the police have detained youths named Kishore Mali, Ramdev Thalod and Tejpal, while two other accused are also being searched. The police is now busy presenting the victim in the court and recording her statement under section 164. A case has been registered under section 376 including SCST Act and investigation has been started. Due to today being a holiday, investigating officer Dharam Punia will present the woman in Parbatsar court today where 164 statements of the victim woman will be recorded.
