Finally, the report of the Dalit woman was registered after four months.

In the month of July, the Dalit woman was beaten and humiliated by the goons.

Malihabad, Lucknow. The ancestral house of a woman living in a village in Malihabad police station area is in a dilapidated condition in the village itself. Mohammad Shafiq, resident of village Shahjadpur Badaura, his sons Mohammad Shadab, Mohammad Zaid, daughters Sahiba and Imroz Bano, wife Rukhsana Bano and Babbo Yadav, resident of village Garhi Sanjar Khan, demolished it on 28th July. The Dalit woman complained about this at Malihabad police station. But the police did not take any action, due to which the courage of the goons increased. Once again, on 30th July at 9 am, the goons broke the locks of her newly built wall and door, beat her and abused her with caste-specific abuses, Shafiq and Zaid caught hold of the Dalit woman, dragged her, stripped her naked and humiliated her. The woman complained about this at the police station.

But the Malihabad police slept with the complaint letter of the Dalit woman. Due to which the courage of the bullies increased so much that on 4th August they again broke the lock of the woman’s house, about which the woman complained on 112. The bullies attacked even in front of the police inspector Salamullah Khan who reached the spot. When she went to the police station to complain about this, the inspector was found sitting with the bullies.

Alleging that the inspector was in cahoots with the bullies, when she did not get justice from Malihabad police station, on 20th September she sent an application through speed post to the Governor, Chief Minister, DGP and other high officials, pleading for justice. When the woman did not get justice from anywhere, the Dalit woman sought refuge in the court. On 14th November, the court had given orders to the officials to register the woman’s report. Due to the evasive attitude of the Malihabad police, on Wednesday, 4th December, Malihabad police finally registered the report against Mohammad Shafique, Mohd. Zaid, Mohd. A case has been registered against Shadab, Sahiba Bano, Imroz Bano, Rukhsana Bano, Babbo Yadav and 2-3 unknown people.
