Filing of nomination in Wayanad: Sonia, Rahul, Kharge to accompany Priyanka

Kozhikode: Congress and UDF are planning to make the maiden electoral foray of AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi in Wayanad Lok Sabha bypoll a major event with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and former chiefs Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi scheduled to reach Wayanad on Wednesday.

Priyanka will submit the nomination papers to the returning officer and district collector at 12 noon after leading a roadshow along with leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha and former Wayanad MP, Rahul Gandhi. The roadshow will begin from the new bus stand premises at 11am.

Many national and state level leaders, including CMs, are expected to participate in the road show.

While Sonia and Rahul will return to New Delhi on Wednesday, Priyanka will stay back and campaign in the constituency for some more days.
