MP News: A Dalit family was attacked by goons in Vanpura village of Chhatarpur district of MP. The matter was only that a member of the family had mistakenly addressed a person of upper caste as ‘tu’. In the incident, men and women of the family were beaten up. The victim family has lodged a complaint with the police.

Dalit family beaten up in Chhatarpur

Chhatarpur: In Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh, some goons entered the house and beat up a Dalit family on the day of Dhanteras. The only mistake was that a few days ago they had addressed an accused as ‘tu’. To take revenge for this, the goon went to the house of the Dalit with his companions and beat him up.

Regarding this matter, the victim’s family says that we belong to backward caste and the bullies are from upper caste. He said that how did you call me by saying ‘tu’ and the bullies are angry about this. After this, the accused entered the house and beat up the men as well as women. In the incident, the head of a victim youth Dhaniram has been broken.

The incident is of Vanpura village coming under Naugaon police station area. Here a case of some bullies entering the house of a Dalit family and beating them has come to light. The accused beat up the women and men present in the house over a minor issue.

The dispute started while giving ashes

Actually Chetram Ahirwar, who lives in Vanpura, told that during Navratri, he addressed Bhan Singh Rajput as ‘tum’ and asked if you want ashes. He got angry with this. He said that you belong to a lower caste, talk to me by saying ‘aap’!

I apologized but the accused did not listen

Chetram told that Bhan Singh is younger than me. That is why I talked to him by saying ‘tum’ (you). But he said that you belong to a lower caste! You cannot talk to me like this. I apologized to him at that time and the matter was over. But after some time, suddenly on the day of Dhanteras, Bhan Singh Rajput and Laxman Singh Rajput came and started abusing and beating them. The accused started beating those people in the family who tried to stop them.

A stick fell on the nephew’s head

Not only this, the nephew Dhaniram, who was trying to save me, was hit on the head with a stick. Due to which he has got serious injuries on his head. He has also got several stitches on his head. Bhan Singh and Laxman Singh were furious, they did not spare anyone, they even beat the women present in the house.

The family reached Naugaon police station in a bloody condition

After the incident, the whole family reached Naugaon police station with Dhaniram in a bloody condition. They told the police about their ordeal. The administration has registered an FIR making Bhanu the accused. While the family says that two people have beaten him. Police is investigating the matter.
