Congress Bihar News: Congress is continuously engaged in strategic preparations before the assembly elections to be held in Bihar this year. After handing over the responsibility to Rajesh Kumar as the Congress state president, the party leadership is going to hold a special meeting. Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi will meet Bihar Congress leaders on March 25.

New Delhi: Congress has once again started emphasizing on its strength in the two largest states of the Hindi belt, UP and Bihar. However, in both these states the party is currently seen with regional parties. Especially in Bihar, it has been with RJD for a long time, but despite this, the party now wants to increase its ground presence as well as the strength of the organization here. Somewhere behind this are the seats won by Congress in the last Lok Sabha elections. While it got three seats in Bihar, it got six seats in UP. These seats have raised a hope within the party.

Congress leadership increased focus on Bihar

This is the reason why the Congress party, especially the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, is giving a lot of importance to this. He has visited the state twice in the past. Soon the party’s high command is going to hold a meeting regarding the state. On March 25, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi are going to hold an important strategic meeting regarding Bihar Congress in Delhi, in which they will discuss the upcoming elections.

Rajesh Kumar given command of Bihar Congress Chief

The importance of Rahul’s focus on Bihar can be understood from the fact that apart from Rahul’s regular visits there, the charge of the state has been given to a young leader Krishna Alavaru, who is considered to be Rahul’s confidant. Not only this, the party has also changed its face in Bihar. The command has been taken from Bhumihar leader Akhilesh Prasad Singh and handed over to Dalit face Rajesh Kumar.

The way Rahul has started a campaign for caste census in the country, giving the command of a state like Bihar to a Dalit is being seen as a better strategy. It is being understood that through Rajesh Kumar, Congress has tried to give a message to a large section of the society.

Kanhaiya Kumar given a big responsibility

Not only this, Rahul has fielded some more of his trusted people there or is preparing to field them. An important name among them is that of young face Kanhaiya Kumar, who himself comes from Bihar. It is believed that Rahul Gandhi has done this as part of a proper strategy. Kanhaiya is currently doing padyatra in the state for the youth and the biggest issue related to them, employment. These days he is doing padyatra in different districts of the state with the name ‘Palayan Roko, Rojgar Do’, which is getting a lot of positive response.

That’s why Kanhaiya was brought on ground

Along with being a young face, Kanhaiya is also the in-charge of the state’s student wing NSUI. It is another matter that while RJD is feeling uncomfortable about his yatra, some people within the party were also not comfortable. The most important name in this is former president Akhilesh Prasad Singh. However, he had to join this yatra even though he did not want to. It is believed that he was not able to digest Kanhaiya being given so much responsibility.

Plan of big responsibility for Pappu Yadav

Like Akhilesh, Kanhaiya is also a Bhumihar face. There is a discussion that the party can give important responsibility to Pappu Yadav in view of the upcoming assembly elections. Behind this, it is believed that Congress’ strategy to become strong in the state on its own strength is being considered. It is being said that after Delhi, Congress is considering to do this experiment in Bihar as well. Actually, RJD has some prejudices and problems regarding both these leaders.

What is the strategy of Congress after all?

However, till now Congress is assuming that it is in alliance in Bihar. In such a situation, it is looking at a respectable seat sharing with RJD in the coming time, relying on its strong presence on the ground. Congress feels that due to this, a good bargaining can be done with RJD. It is said that one of the reasons behind Akhilesh Singh’s departure just before the elections is also being considered his smooth relations with all the parties including RJD. It is being said that somewhere the party felt that tough bargaining cannot be done with RJD as long as Akhilesh Singh is there.
