TMC’s Shatrughan Sinha will campaign for AAP

Tahir Hussain allowed to campaign on custody parole
The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted custody parole to Tahir Hussain, a former AAP councillor who is contesting the Delhi Assembly elections on an AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen) ticket and an accused in the Delhi riots case. A three-judge bench of Justice Vikram Nath, Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice Sandeep Mehta has allowed Hussain to campaign in police custody from January 29 to February 3. In the petition, Hussain had sought permission to contact voters while being in custody for campaigning.
‘Political row over Yamuna escalates, Kejriwal should apologize’
Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has attacked Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal. He shared a video on X in the morning and wrote, ‘Kejriwal has no equal in doing cheap and false politics. Kejriwal insulted the soil where he was born. Kejriwal should immediately apologize to the people of Haryana and Delhi.’

Actually, yesterday Arvind Kejriwal had made sensational allegations against the BJP government ruling in Haryana. He had said that the Haryana government has released poison in the Yamuna water reaching Delhi. The Water Board responded to the allegations. It said that Arvind Kejriwal’s statement is wrong and misleading. The level of ammonia in Yamuna naturally increases during the winter season between October and February. Jal Board’s water purification plants are designed to properly purify ammonia up to 1 ppm. Apart from this, purification of ammonia up to 2 to 2.5 ppm is done by mixing high ammonia water with water obtained from Delhi Sub Branch and Carrier Line Channel.
