Bihar Mokama. A case of rape of a 45-year-old Dalit woman has come to light in Tartar of Ghoswari police station area. The police took action and arrested the accused Biran Yadav. He is a resident of Tartar village.
The woman was returning home after collecting firewood from Tall area. While crossing the river, the accused youth forcibly blocked her way. The firewood was snatched from him and thrown into the river. The accused caught hold of the woman and took her to a deserted place some distance away from the river. When the victim protested, he threatened to kill her by beating her. Due to which she got scared. After the rape, the accused fled from the spot. After some time, passers-by took the woman home. After reaching home, the victim narrated her ordeal to her family members. On the second day of the incident, the victim reached the police station with her family members and gave a written application. As soon as the police received information about the incident, they raided the house of the accused and arrested him. The victim woman was later sent to Sadar Hospital for medical examination.
