Dalit woman gang-raped, bottle inserted in private part
Lucknow: A Dalit woman was allegedly molested by three youths near Gureh village in Uttar Pradesh’s Banda district late on Saturday night, police said. After getting the information, the police reached the spot and took the woman to Kotwali, where she was questioned. The police were shocked to hear about the incident of gang rape and defacement.
According to the victim, she was going to her in-laws’ house on a bike with her husband. Three of her husband’s friends were near Gureh village, who stopped them. According to the woman, the husband was very drunk, taking advantage of which the accused sent the husband to buy cigarettes from the shop. Two of them then raped her, while the third failed to rape her due to protest, so he put a bottle of alcohol in the woman’s private part. On the news of the gang rape, CO City Ambuja Trivedi reached the spot late at night and inquired about the incident from the victim.
According to Kotwali in-charge Akhilesh Singh, the victim was sent to her in-laws’ house on a bike by her mother along with two youths from the village, who misbehaved with her. The police recreated the scene late at night to know the reality of the incident. Police are investigating the results due to differences in the statements of the woman and her mother. The identity of the accused has not been revealed yet.
