Scheduled caste teacher Yogesh Kumar (48), resident of village Atali in Titavi (Muzaffarnagar) area, was beaten to death with sticks after kidnapping. The teacher’s body was recovered from a drain in the jungle of village Rasulpur in Charthaval area. The youth, who was in one-sided love with the girl he was supposed to be engaged to, committed the crime with his friend. Police arrested one accused.
It has been learned that teacher Yogesh Kumar (48), resident of village Atali in the area, was kidnapped and murdered by his fiancée’s lover along with his friend. The accused hatched the conspiracy after the engagement was fixed.
Simalesh, sister of Hindi teacher Yogesh Kumar of Barla Inter College, had filed a case of kidnapping of the teacher against Paramjeet and Amit, residents of Rasulpur, on Monday night. Both were accused of threatening earlier as well. Police arrested Paramjeet from near Saidpura Shani Dev temple and recovered the body from the drain of Rasulpur on his information.
CO Budhana Gajendra Pal Singh said that the teacher was kidnapped in a car and then killed by beating with sticks. The car, two sticks and a rope have been recovered. Accused Amit is still absconding. He is being searched. The arrested accused is the family brother of the teacher. The accused family had moved to Rasulpur from Atali many years ago.
