Let us tell you that Abhishek Ravi, a 19-year-old engineering student from Ranchi, died during treatment after falling from the roof of the hostel at ITER College in Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha. Similarly, Dr. Lokendra Kumar Singh, an MBBS student of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, died in the hostel on 10 June 2024 under suspicious circumstances. Family is struggling to get justice
Lokendra’s father Advocate Amit Dhande told Dalit Dastak that three months have passed since the death of his son, but Karnataka police has not been able to solve the case yet. We want to know what happened to our son. Whoever is behind my son’s death, they should get strict punishment. For this, we have submitted a memorandum to Jodhpur Divisional Commissioner in the name of His Excellency President, Prime Minister, Governor and Chief Minister of Karnataka. At the same time, we have demanded a thorough investigation of the case.
Students are protesting in Ranchi
Students are continuously protesting in Ranchi to get justice for Abhishek Ravi. Last Monday, students took out a candle march from Ambedkar Chowk to Birsa Chowk in the city. During this, the students also submitted a memorandum to the Governor.
